“Make in India Week” Mumbai, 13th-18th February

25/01/2016 By NICCI Administration

We have received the below information from Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, Confederation of Indian Industry.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Government of India and State Government of Maharashtra is organizing the “Make in India Week” scheduled from 13-18 February 2016 at MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.

“Make in India Week” is a platform launched to provide a greater momentum to the ‘Make in India’ initiative launched by Prime Minister Modi in August 2015 and will exhibit projects, achievements, capabilities and innovations in manufacturing through a cross sectoral exhibition at the Make in India Centre in a gross space of 43,000 sq. mts.

The showcasing of sectors through pavilions and sectoral seminars on Aerospace & Defense, Automobile & components, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Construction equipment, Materials & Technology, Food processing, Infrastructure development, IT & Electronics, Industrial Equipment & machinery, Pharmaceuticals and Textiles would provide participants an opportunity to interact with global companies, business leaders and help expand business horizons.

The event would showcase the people, policies and partnerships that are driving India’s new manufacturing revolution as well as display India’s potential of design, innovation and sustainability across various manufacturing sectors. The flagship event is a medium for reinforcing India’s commitment and potential to emerge as a global manufacturing hub.

Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India would be inaugurating the event on 13th February.

The Make in India Week will also witness States like Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh organizing their respective investment seminars, showcasing their key strengths & business opportunities. All these events would be in partnership with CII.

Senior Union Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers, Senior Union Government officials and officials from various State Government and senior industry leaders would participate at the event. We are also expecting Heads of State and Ministers led Government and Business delegations from different parts of the world.

I am writing to cordially invite you to join us for this important event and also request your support in disseminating the information to various business houses, trade associations, companies in your home country and initiating a dialogue for participation as well as leading a strong business delegation at the “Make in India Week”.

This will be the largest business event of its kind in India with the presence and participation of stakeholders from across sectors and I would also look forward to your support and participation.

Kind regards,

Chandrajit Banerjee
