What people loved at Norway India Business Day 2024

12/06/2024 By NICCI Administration

The 3rd edition of NIBD was solid proof of the need for our annual meeting place for players in the Norway-India business corridor. The response to the value it brought is unanimous…

Participants met new people with the potential to impact their business!

Sellers met buyers. Companies met partners. Business leaders met people from government with the power to make a difference. Even the most connected ones in our network made new valuable connections.

For all of us working to deliver value to our members and being relevant to our extended network, this makes it all worth the effort. All the positive feedback makes it easy to roll up our sleeves and get ready for an extensive program of meetings and delegations this fall and winter. It also makes it easy to immediately start planning NIBD 2025.

High-Level plenary session speakers

Just have a look at our plenary speakers/panelists! We are pretty sure it is the most extensive lineup of top people ever, sharing knowledge and experience on Norway-India business. Thanks a lot to each and every one of you. You brought a lot of value to all of us present.

High-level participants

The event gathered a fantastic mix of NICCI members representing a wide range of sectors, business leaders, business organizations, the embassies, ministries, and business promotion agencies from both Norway and India. Together we kickstarted the new era of Norway-India business.

A considerable number of people visited from India, adding value both to the seminar content and the networking. A few of the ones traveling the 6500 kilometers between our two countries were NICCI member companies Trilegal, ZR Renewable Energy, and Ideas to Impacts. We are also happy that a six-person delegation from the Government of Uttar Pradesh chose to participate, bridging companies in Norway with opportunities in India’s largest state. (Fun fact: If Uttar Pradesh, with its 250 million population, were a country, it would be the 5th largest in the world).

Platinum sponsors NIBD 2024:

Thanks to our knowledge partner Trilegal that participated both in the plenum session and breakout session on Impact Investments in India. Thanks to the Emirates team in Oslo for being with us all day, contributing to making the event better.

Thank you so much to our co-organizers and volunteers:

Embassy of India in Oslo, IKT Norge, Innovation Norway, NHO, Norwegian Consulate General in Mumbai, Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, Norwegian Energy Partners, Open Innovation Lab of Norway and Smart Energy Network.

Thanks a lot to the volunteers that helped out with a range of practical tasks during the day, both at the networking zone, plenary session, industry breakouts, and at the large garden reception.
