Modi to Norway 18 May

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Norway on 18–19 May for an official visit and the third Nordic–India Summit. This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Norway since 1983.

The visit comes at an important moment in the growing relationship between Norway and India.
The India–EFTA trade agreement is now in force, trade between Norway and India has more than doubled over the past decade, and cooperation is expanding across several sectors including maritime industries, green technology, AI and cyber talent, innovation and research, and financial investments.

For Norwegian and Indian companies, this is more than a diplomatic milestone. It is a clear signal that the Norway–India business corridor is becoming increasingly important, relevant, and action-oriented.

The Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) is actively engaged in activities connected to the visit and beyond.
