Board member Knut R. Sørlie, NHO

Knut R. Sørlie, Asst. Director International Affairs & Trade Policy in the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO). Sørlie is Cand. Polit. (Master) from the University of Oslo in Political Science (1986), has a Management Course in Business Strategy at the Norwegian School of Management (BI) in 2000 and went to the 6 months Norwegian Defence College in 2003. Sørlie has held different positions within the NHO and was director of NHOs Brussels office between 1991-95. He has participated as a member of the Norwegian official delegations to the WTO ministerial conferences and has followed the development of the WTO negotiations and also the bilateral trade negotiations Norway is pursuing as part of EFTA. Sørlie has participated in several official Norwegian visits abroad as part of business delegations, also to India. Sørlie is member of the BUSINESSEUROPE  International Relations Committee, a member of the ICC Trade and Investment Commission and has been Vice Chair of the BIAC Trade Committee (which is the business organization to the OECD) Sørlie is responsible for the India activities within the NHO. NHO has cooperation agreements with both the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and with the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

 
 
   
Board member Jannicke E. Witsø, DNV

Jannicke Witsø currently works in the Corporate Communications Department of DNV. Witsø holds a MA in European Union Studies from the University of Newcastle (2004) and has a double BA in Economics and Government from Augustana College in the USA. Earlier Witsø worked as Senior Advisor in the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry. In the Ministry came she was responsible for the follow-up of bilateral trade relations with numerous countries, including India, the US and Germany. Furthermore she was responsible for the speech writing group in the Trade Policy Department. She held the position in the Ministry for three years. Witsø also has experience from the EFTA Secretariat in Brussels, where she worked with the EEA Agreement, and from the EU Embassy in Oslo. In DNV Witsø works with various media and government relations projects and  is also the Deputy Leader of the young professionals association in DNV. Witsø is currently a member of the Expert Group under the CHINOR programme of the Research Council of Norway.
